Adobe's all-in-one Express design tool has exited beta and is now available globally with Firefly generative AI built-in.
Express is Adobe's solution for allowing the easy creation of flyers, resumes, banners, and logos, as well as Reels and TikTok videos. It uses a combination of drag-and-drop and one-click tasks to combine video clips, artwork, animations, and music for videos, while also offering access to thousands of design templates and Adobe Stock assets. But now you can just tell it what to create.
This new version is being touted as "AI-first" due to the integration of Adobe's Firefly generative AI, which is already being used in Photoshop, as well as coming to Premiere Pro and After Effects. For Express, Firefly allows users to "quickly generate custom images and text effects from text prompts in over 100 languages and [is] designed to be safe for commercial use."
Adobe also says integrating AI into Express "helps creators to take the guesswork out of design, and quickly find the perfect addition to content or get personalized template recommendations that fit unique styles."
Express has a free plan available which includes Firefly-powered features, so you don't need to pay to take advantage of AI in your creations. However, there is a Premium plan costing $9.99 per month or $99 per year which unlocks access to more features and thousands more royalty-free assets to use.
