FC 24 Road to the Knockouts Team 2 release date is around the corner as players prepare for the second major promotional team of the new Ultimate Team cycle.
Road to the Knockouts began when EA Sports FC 24 released worldwide. Nike Mad Ready was an early access promotion, but RTTK is the first major event featuring two promotional teams in packs, Squad Building Challenges, objectives and more. RTTK is all about UEFA competitions including the Champions League, Women's Champions League, Europa League and Europa Conference League. Player items will upgrade depending how teams perform in their respective competitions' group stages.
Team 1 was released Friday, Sept. 29 at 1 p.m. ET. Here's when Team 2 will enter packs.

FC 24 Road to the Knockouts Team 2 will be released on Friday, Oct. 6 at 1 p.m ET. At that time, Team 1 will leave packs.
Team 2 will likely feature players from clubs not showcased during Team 1, or perhaps some teams get multiple players. Also, only one woman was included in the first team: Svenja Huth from VfL Wolfsburg. The same trend is apparent in Team of the Week with only one woman being included in both squads released so far. Perhaps EA Sports will include more women players in the next squad, or as SBCs and objectives.
FC 24 Road to the Knockouts Upgrades Explained
RTTK players will earn upgrades depending on how their teams perform in whichever UEFA competition they are in. The upgrade structure is as follows:
- Launch Upgrade
- Win two remaining matches in the group stage: +1 In-Form Upgrade
- Qualify for Knockout Stage: +1 In-Form Upgrade
UWCL cards are also eligible for an additional upgrade if their club successfully makes it to the Group Stage via the Second Round Qualification matches. In-Form Upgrades mean that players won't just simply receive a one-overall rating boost for each eligible upgrade. Upgrades will be based on the TOTW structure.
