I know you're dying to pet Torgal, but you'll have to finish these steps before enjoying this privilege.
- Progress through the main story until you meet Cid. Then, you'll get to travel with Torgal and use the canine while fighting.
- Approach the grey wolf while not in combat.
- A white heart and a X will appear above Torgal's head. Hold the X button to interact with the wolf. Clive will either pet Torgal or toss him a treat.
You can even unlock the "You Can Pet The Dog" trophy by petting Torgal five times!
