In the dystopian universe of Silo (based on the book Wool), humanity lives underground in a—yes—silo, but everyone has been there for so many generations that they have no idea why or how they got there. They have been told that the surface of the earth is uninhabitable. But that's an assumption a few are willing to test.
2. Air (Prime Video)
Ben Affleck gave up the cape and cowl and is finally back to directing, this time with a biopic (of sorts) of how Nike went from an also-ran shoe manufacturer to a sneaker powerhouse by embracing Michael Jordan before he was the GOAT.
3. Ted Lasso (Apple TV+)
The end is nigh: It's the final season of Ted Lasso, the feel-good hit of the decade. The show is going a little off the rails and isn't paying much attention to Ted himself as it winds down, but Ted Lasso the character and the show are at their best when they're focused on the misfits in the ball club.
4. Succession (Max)
Who's going to get Daddy's love—or rather, his company, which is the closest thing—on Succession? Absolutely no one. The Roy children's alliance is a goner. Now Shiv, Roy, and Kendall all feel betrayed and are out for (a brick of) blood. How it ends is anyone's guess, but we can hypothesize right now that no one will end up happy.
5. Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves (Paramount+)
The title that never quite worked beyond the role-playing game (despite a pretty good Saturday morning cartoon decades ago) finally gets its due. Watch Chris “Captain Kirk” Pine use his charm as he leads a merry band of adventurers trying to save the world in a fantasy setting that would make a pretty good gaming module.
6. The Mother (Netflix)
Is Jennifer Lopez playing a mother superior at a convent? Nope. Lopez returns to the action genre as a mother who hides in Alaska for years to protect her daughter. But enemies eventually find the kid, so JLo goes into arse-kickin’ action, as any good mom would.
7. Jury Duty (Freevee)
The first ad-based video-on-demand (AVOD) show of the year to make Reelgood’s list is Jury Duty, which is essentially a season-long Punk’d gag on one guy who doesn’t know he isn’t really on a jury—he’s on TV.
8. Citadel (Prime Video)
Stanley Tucci is taking a break from eating his way through Italy to head up Citadel, a spy agency "loyal to no nation." With the help of Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra Jonas, he's fighting former comrades who double-crossed the agency, and gets to say things like, "You need to remember the past to save the future."
9. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (Disney+)
No one is going to pretend this is the best entry in the MCU, but it has the charm of Paul Rudd to carry most of it. The adventures take the whole Ant team into the microscopic quantum realm, where they meet the MCU’s next big bad, Kang, and his tiny-armed hench-MODOK (Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing, of course).
10. From (MGM+)
This horror show is entering its second season. The premise is that there’s a small town in middle America where people can go in—but they can’t get out. Much like _____ (insert name of your hometown).
