Elon Musk has suggested that OpenAI may have discovered “something dangerous,” leading to chaos at the company. He made the comments after the research organisation recently fired and re-hired its CEO, Sam Altman, under mysterious circumstances. Musk, a co-founder of OpenAI, said that he had attempted to find out what happened behind the scenes, but had failed to do so. The billionaire had reached out to numerous people working at the company, including Ilya Sutskever, a chief scientist and board member, who is believed to have led the rebellion against Mr Altman, but had not heard anything. Microsoft has come up with a solution for when you're too pressed for time to tidy your room before hopping in to a video call. The tech company's new "decorate your room" feature for Microsoft Teams, announced at the Ignite 2023 conference this week, will launch next year. For those wanting a festive touch to their background, the tool can even place fairy lights and a Christmas tree into the picture. "Meeting participants can now use generative background effects in Teams to show up their best – even when the space they're working from isn't at its best," Microsoft said.

A prankster wearing a transparent bin bag and shower cap made his way down the catwalk at New York Fashion Week before being bundled away by security. The man can be seen checking over his shoulder before strutting his stuff in front of the audience - who appeared not to notice he was an intruder. YouTuber Fred Beyer uploaded footage of the incident - which happened earlier this month - to his channel on 13 September. He walked the catwalk during a fashion show hosted by Creators Inc, an agency for social media influencers.

The way users charge their Apple devices in the future is getting a huge shakeup. In Tuesday's (12 September) Apple event, the technology company announced that the lightning cable is being replaced by USB-C with the introduction of the new iPhone 15 and 15 Pro. It marks a huge change, as the lighting cable has been used to charge Apple devices for the last decade. The USB-C cable can be used to power other Apple products such as the Mac and iPad.

A brightly flashing “X” sign has been removed from the San Francisco headquarters of the company formerly known as Twitter, days after it was installed. The San Francisco Department of Building Inspection said Monday it received 24 complaints about the unpermitted structure over the weekend. It was first erected on Friday 28 July. “As you can see, they took down the X,” social media user @darren_stallcup wrote, sharing a video of the building which no longer features the sign. Elon Musk has replaced Twitter’s bird logo with an “X”. The Tesla and SpaceX founder, who bought the social media platform in October, set the new logo live on Monday 24 July. It is the latest move in a series of major alterations to Twitter since Musk’s takeover. “Soon we shall bid adieu to the Twitter brand and, gradually, all the birds”, he tweeted, 24 hours before the change went live. “Larry the Bird” had been Twitter’s emblem since its creation in 2006. The “X” has long been an obsession of Musk’s and is his name for an “everything app” that he has pledged to launch at some point in the future. The public are already familiar with Ameca, after she previously went viral for her ability to speak multiple languages. However, in the new video by Engineered Arts, Ameca is given a pen and told to drawer a 'cute-looking cat'. "Whether it's a cuddle when we're feeling down or a playful scratch behind the ears when we need a pick-me-up, they are always there for us", she says, as she gets to work. The Vision Pro's USP is that these images remain in your real life landscape, as opposed to sweeping you entirely from your surroundings - so you're less likely to bump into the kitchen table when you're exploring Apple's augmented world. The UK’s first-ever “ghost driver” has taken to the roads of Nottingham in a new experiment. A driverless car was been fitted visual displays to communicate with people crossing roads to determine how people respond naturally to self-driving vehicles. The screen shows different images to pedestrians - including a happy face, a giving way face, and a raised eyebrow. A University of Nottingham study found that, in the absence of someone in the driving seat, pedestrians trust certain visual prompts more than others when deciding whether to cross in front of an autonomous car.
