The influence of well-known streamers and YouTubers like PewDiePie, Jacksepticeye, and Markiplier helps video games reach the right audience. Contemporary developers are acutely aware of the impact content producers have on the success of their games.

Due to this, there are several times when the development team purposefully placed minor Easter Eggs and references to famous YouTubers in an effort to grab their attention. Developers occasionally go a little bit further than simply an innocent Easter Egg, though.

Top 5 video games that trolled famed Youtubers

1. 'Surgeon Simulator'

There is an Easter Egg in this cult favorite, funny surgery simulator that pays homage to PewDiePie, the former YouTube king. In one of his many videos on the game that he had filmed during his career, Pewds accidentally turned a heart upside down. Since then, whoever follows suit earns a unique PewDiePie achievement.

2. 'Choo Choo Charles'

The developers quickly complied with the fans' request for a MoistCr1TiKaL-themed Easter Egg in the 'Choo Choo Charles' game. Because of this, pressing "Moist" in the cheat menu will start the Critical mode and summon Charles Christopher White Jr, the game's primary adversary.

3. 'Subnautica'

The developers of several video games occasionally give rewards to content producers in exchange for their steadfast loyalty and outspoken fandom. Among them is 'Subnautica'. The development team included a downloadable bobblehead of the seasoned player Markiplier in the game after witnessing how many videos the YouTuber had made about it. Later, additional YouTubers acquired their own exclusive in-game items, including Jacksepticeye.

4. 'SIMULACRA'

The horror video game 'SIMULACRA' almost caused YouTuber Jacksepticeye to have a panic attack. Jack made the decision to utilize his YouTube account as the in-game login for his YouTube series. As Jack follows this process for the majority of his playthroughs, it is quite routine. 'Simulacra', however, took him by surprise when it said in the following slide that it was aware of Sean William McLoughlin as his true name.

5. 'Fortnite'

In 2018, the popular streamer Ninja posted on Twitter, “Something I look forward to every single day and every 3 days are the skins/new skins on Fortnite and I am pretty upset that there have been no new skins. I literally am trying to throw money at the game… dude I would buy a toilet plunger as an axe… just give us new sh*t.” This tweet particularly touched the 'Fortnite' developers, who used it to inspire the creation of the fabled Plunja harvesting device.
