PewDiePie banned on Twitch despite not even streaming
PewDiePie banned on Twitch despite not even streaming
Internet sensation PewDiePie has been hit with a mysterious Twitch ban – despite not even streaming. The Swedish influencer signed an exclusive deal with YouTube in 2020. However, a random stream appeared on PewDiePie's Twitch account in March, showing old videos and episodes of the Canadian comedy series Trailer Park Boys. PewDiePie's 'return' to the streaming platform left fans scratching their heads, with some speculating it to be a promotion for an upcoming project. Others believed his account was hacked. Dexerto later reported that CoPilotMedia appeared to have taken over the streamer's Twitch channel. Now, PewDiePie's Twitch account has been officially removed from the platform – and people aren't sure why. Instead, Twitch fans are greeted with a notice that reads: "This channel is temporarily unavailable due to a violation of Twitch's Community Guidelines or Terms of Service." In a February YouTube video shared on PewDiePie's 111 million subscriber-strong channel, the influencer said: "I’ve been keeping a secret from you guys, and that is I’m going to be a dad. "We found out that Marzia is pregnant first in November, and I’m just so thankful everything’s been going so well so far. "I’m so excited. It’s kind of strange to me, it’s entering new territory, but I feel really ready, and so does Marzia.” He added he feels "so lucky" to start a family "with the woman I love", going on to say that he has "absolutely no doubt" that Marzia will be "an amazing mother". Dixie D’Amelio responds to shocking 'mass shooting' comment about her transparent top
Dixie D’Amelio responds to shocking 'mass shooting' comment about her transparent top
TikToker and singer Dixie D’Amelio received horrendous backlash and is branded a “bad example” for children after wearing a transparent top. D’Amelio is a major star on the social media platform with over 57 million followers and is the older sister of fellow TikTok star Charli D’Amelio. Since breaking up with fellow influencer Noah Beck, the older sister has been through some changes including cutting her previously long hair and replacing it with a buzzcut. But, it was another risky fashion statement that sparked controversy across social media after D’Amelio wore a transparent top that showed her breasts. Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter The star was seen in both a TikTok video and an Instagram post wearing the same shirt, igniting comments from critics who claimed she was being a bad role model to her young female followers. D’Amelio captioned the Instagram post, “Darling don’t feel bad for me” and posed in the top along with ripped jeans, dark sunglasses and a black handbag. One comment on the post read: “You know children see this.” Another said: “So unclassy. Hope young girls don’t get ‘influenced’ by this.” In possibly one of the most sickening responses, one Instagram user said they hoped she would be a victim of a mass shooting. The TeaTok Talk account shared screenshots of some of the horrible responses D’Amelio received and some which she replied to. An Instagram user wrote, “Bro your [sic] a bad example”, to which D’Amelio hit back: “I have said from the beginning that I am not a role model. I do me and want to be myself.” Have your say in our news democracy. Click the upvote icon at the top of the page to help raise this article through the indy100 rankings.

Hasbulla arrested in Russia for 'unbridled wedding fun'
Hasbulla arrested in Russia for 'unbridled wedding fun'
Social media personality Hasbulla Magomedov has been arrested in Russia for driving offences committed after a wedding celebration. 20-year-old Hasbulla is from Russia and was arrested in his native Dagestan, a Republic of Russia, in an incident involving a group of his friends celebrating a wedding. According to reports, Hasbulla and friends blocked a main road in order to do doughnuts. Since his arrest, Hasbulla apologised for the incident on social media and confirmed it wasn’t him driving. He tweeted: “That won't happen again, people we apologise. We had to answer for it a little bit. I wasn't driving either.” Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter According to Dagestan’s Internal Affairs Ministry, the act of blocking a road to burn rubber is a common form of celebration after a wedding and added that wedding emotions got the better of those arrested. The statement read: “Unbridled wedding fun in Dagestan is known to many and far beyond the borders of the republic.” It continued: “In the absence of other ways of entertainment, such a primitive option is still extremely popular - blocking roads for other road users, burning rubber, smashing cars against each other and many other features that, in fact, have nothing to do with the celebration.” Footage of the incident was shared online and showed the social media star in a car blocking the road, while another vehicle from his party did donuts in the road in front. The statement from Dagestan’s Internal Affairs Ministry continued, explaining: “All participants of 'wedding emotions', as they themselves call it, were taken to the police, and in relation to them, employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Dagestan drew up administrative protocols for all violations.” It’s not the first time in recent months that Hasbulla’s actions have caused a stir. A few months ago the star came under fire after a clip appeared to show him abusing a cat. Have your say in our news democracy.
